Toy Story- High Angle
This picture is a close up shot of 'Buz' from Toystory and is a from a high angle (as a perspective). As he is flying, his face looks fierce and feels as though he cant be defeated. His emotions show that he is strong and capable of defending his friends.

Toy Story- Low Angle
In this scene, Woody has his arm ripped, and is put in the bin by Andy. Before this scene happened, Woody had be put onto the shelf, and after seeing the yard sale in progress, he had a nightmare that this is going to occur, and he is going to be put into the bin. This is a mid shot in the scene, as it only shows the top part of Woody's owner, Andy. The colours are dark and meaningful, as the bin is back and the lighting has changed, from the light, bright sky outside, reflecting from the back of Andy. The emotion given by the colours of the scene are sad and scary, as the colours are all dark. The emotion given by Andy are confused, scared, and upset because he needs to give over Woody to the bin, because he has a broken and split arm. This gives the watchers and viewers a sad view, also because of the scene behind this is a scared look onWoody's face.
Toy Story- Medium Shot
In this scene, Buzz is captured in a medium shot. This is the scene, where Buzz and Woody are talking to each other, before Woody gets taken. The emotion on Buzz's face seems happy, but confused at the same time, as the shot was taken while talking to Woody. The shot is called a medium shot because it has been taken of only the top half of Buzz's body. Buzz is wearing a red, green, blue, purple, and white costume/ clothing that is seen in extreme detail, because it is a very close shot, where Buzz is close to the camera.

As the photo shows the different textures on the moon and on the other planets.

Ratatouille
The first movie i have chosen is Ratatouille. Ratatouille gives many different emotions, which makes me understand the different themes in the movie. An example of the theme i have realised in the movie is that people should not be stereotypical. This is giving the message that anyone can achieve anything if they make an attempt. Not being stereotypical can give the impression of different emotions. When the emotions change, it gives me a different perspective to the themes. This can be shown when a change in the characters, colours or a change in the actions in the movie. In this animated movie, the characters change throughout the film, which gives a clear shape in the themes and the emotions, which helps me understand the movie.

Themes:
In the movie, Ratatouille, the main message and theme is to not be stereotypical. Being unique is the most important thing in the film, as this is explained when an

Extreme Close up
In this scene, an extreme close up is shown, as it shows the opening character, being Renny. As Renny is running out of the house window, he is escaping from the scene, where he had stolen some food from the owner. This scene gives the wrong message to young children, as it shows Renny stealing food. His father and family notice this and tell him that it is wrong until he understands that you can find food in a positive, safe way. In this scene, it introduces the first, main character, where the details of the rat are seen. This gives the viewers a first impression of the movie, also showing that he is in power at the time, taking the whole shot in the screen. This scene gives the viewers an understanding of the colours shown, being dark, which gives the impression that the shot can be dangerous, dark or evil.
Close up- Emotions
In this scene, the emotions are happy. This gives different emotions which makes the viewer understand the features of the movie. It captures the different colours in the emotions and the feelings and gives a clear perspective of the themes. As this is a close up shot, it shows the details of the rats face, and shows that he is happy (his emotions).
My Animation Film
Day 1: Claymation Film
The action that I have taken today has been everything I have learnt in this lesson, including the structure of the movie and deciding on what we are doing as the main theme and storyline in the film. At the beginning of the lesson, we were given a criteria that we had to read over. This included having to contain a red balloon somewhere in the animation film we were making. As we got into groups of 3, we were able to make up a movie, either Claymation, animation etc. We got to decide on whatever theme we would like, as my group chose CLAYMATION. We also got to choose from many of the different ways to produce it, as these were either using Comic Life, PowerPoint, iMovie etc.
Some of the challenges that occurred today was after we decided on how to structure our animation film. After deciding that we were going to do a black and white Claymation film, we discussed what the structure of our film was going to be, later finding out that someone had taken the idea (over-heard our ideas). After finding this out, we decided on a different idea, also using the same concept and same ideas. Another challenge my group and I faced, was deciding on the storyline for the film, as we had to alter it and find another concept.
Next lesson, I will be focussing on how to use the clay, and how to form the characters that will be in the film. After only making drafts for our Claymation film, my group will focus on what the hard copy of the film will be (the main storyline). This will give us an understanding of what the main concept of he movie is, and will give us a focal point for the future lessons.

Day 2: Claymation Film
From choosing Claymation for my groups animation film, the action i have taken today is starting the sculptures out of clay and play dough. As we are making 3 or more characters, and also having to make a background, we have to complete these in the limited amount of time. I have taken action with my group, by making the characters to fit the storyline out of plasticine clay, and the bigger background out of play dough, as we have figured out it would be easier for us to mould. We finalised out storyline during this lesson, as we continued getting more ideas from the characters and backgrounds we have in mind. Getting Monicas claymation video has had an impact on our understanding of the structure of the storyline, as she made her video in primary school.
Some of the challenges i have faced this lesson have been trying to get more ideas for our storyline, after our last lesson. This has now been finished as we all had different ideas in mind to finalise it. This arrangement helped us when making our sculptures, as it gave us a focus point for what we wanted to achieve.
Next lesson i will also be focussing on making or finishing the characters, so my group can start making the background, getting closer to filming our video. We will start making the background out of play dough, as it is easier to mould, and we will try to take the photos, by bringing in a camera with a stand to keep it upright. After finishing taking the pictures we will put them together also adding our poster and our white or coloured background.

Day 3: Claymation Film
Dring this lesson of making our claymation film, we have been continuing on with our main characters of the movie. As we have been focussing on the details of our main characters in the movie, we have just realised that we need to concentrate more on getting to the background and the other items or extras, such as the red balloon. This red balloon needs to be included in the animation film, as it is a requirement in the task description. We have figured out many ways on how to include and make this red balloon, as we cannot make it out of solid clay because it will be too heavy.
Next lesson we will be continuing on our animation film, as we focus on getting to the photo taking and putting together of the claymation film. This will give us a future focus on the filming of the animation and will give us an opportunity to see where we are in the process of making the film. We will decide on how to include the background and will start making the background for the claymation film.

Day 4: Claymation Film
During day 4 of making our claymation films, we continued on our clay sculptures, as they were our main characters. We made many different objects including a park bench, and continued on our storyboard. As we figured out our main ideas for the film, we have put together a storyboard that consists of 6 separate boxes, telling a story about the film. This lesson i have learnt about the storyboard and how it helps us to create our film, as we have been focussing on how we are going to set up the characters during the movie. We have taken the main item, which is the red balloon and have made it the major item in the film, as it is included in every scene of the movie. We are running out of time quickly, so my team and i have figured that we must do some of the work at home. I have been making the storyboard tonight, as we have all brought in elements for the movie.
I think we have achieved our goal for this lesson, as we worked extremely well together. Another team member (from another group) came to us today for reassurance, as she was struggling in her group, because all of the team members had different ideas that they all though were right to include in the short film. We helped and included her in our group, as we helped her complete her storyboard. We have achieved the goals of figuring out how to do the background for the film, and have been focussing on how to take the shots for the film. We feel as though we have had a great lesson, as we will be putting together most of the characters in the future lessons.

This lesson i feel as though we have achieved our goal of making all of the main characters. We have made background people, as we made small details such as grass and signs. This has put us forward in the making of our film, as we will definitely be starting to film next lesson. All of the people in my group are going to bring in something for the film, such as Monica bringing in her camera and stand, Megan bringing in the play dough and a cardboard box, and I am going to bring in a box to put all of the claymation characters in, also including bringing in the plasticine to build the characters. Although the making of the characters was difficult, taking up most of our time, we feel as though once we start the film, we will eventually get to the making of the promotional poster, as we already have ideas to include in it.
This lesson, we have had a difficult time trying to figure out what day and where we will have to get together to start the film (to get us the slightest section ahead). We have had a difficult time trying to deal with the short amount of time, as this lesson we have realised that we only have 5 weeks left to make the film and the promotional poster. We have decided to stay with starting next lesson, as we have sorted out what we are all bringing. This will hopefully benefit us, as we are the only group in the class so far, that is doing claymation.

Day 6 and 7: Claymation Film
Although day 6 didn't work out for us, having parts missing from the camera and having the background not standing up, we made definite plans for day 7. We made sure we had everything ready and organised, so we could finish the movie for certain. As we arrived in class on day 7, we got everything sorted out and ready as quickly as possible, so we could finally finish the movie. We got the camera angles right, as we completed the main scenes of the movie, at Monica's house and mostly during class. As these scenes of the movie are completed, we have not completed the whole movie. We have not completed the high angle and the panning shot, as we will focus on doing these next lesson. We will change the camera angle to suit these shots, as it would be difficult if we didn't. The problems we have had in the past and this lesson, have been not being able to do much in day 6, as we could get anything to work. This lesson we almost ran out of time, as we went over the bell, to be able to finish the scene. As we completed it right on the bell, we were able to think about what we will be doing in the future lessons.
In the future lessons, my group and i are going to focus on doing the different angled shots, as this may be difficult with the camera. After finishing the scenes, we will put together the movie on imovie, so we can edit where and when needed. This has given us plenty of time and lessons to start and finish the promotional poster, as we were told last lesson, that we have 5 weeks left to do this. We hope we can start it in the next two lessons, and hope we can edit ASAP.
